The LaSalle Vipers will meet the St. Marys Lincolns for the final time in the regular-season Friday night in St. Marys.
With five games remaining on their schedule, the Vipers (23-16-1-5) trail the third-place Lincolns (26-13-3-4) by seven points. A victory in tonight’s game would put them five back with still a game in hand and would give them a glimmer of hope at catching them over the final few games of the season.
The season-series between the two teams has been a tight one. Each team has taken six points through the five previous meetings with St. Marys winning the key most recent game on February 5 in LaSalle.
Every point from here on out will also be valuable in keeping the Chatham Maroons in the rearview mirror. LaSalle currently sits four points ahead of the Maroons with each team having five games remaining.
Tonight’s game in St. Marys is scheduled for 7:30PM.
