The LaSalle Vipers won both of their games over the weekend at the GOJHL Showcase in Pelham.
On Saturday night, third period goals by Patrick McManus and Brody Gillis helped the Vipers erase a one-goal deficit heading into the third to earn a 4-3 victory over the Caledonia Corvairs in what was a very physical contest. Tre Altiman picked up the win in net, making 28 saves for his second victory of the season.
In their second game of the Showcase on Sunday afternoon, the Vipers skated away from the Caledon Bombers by scoring four times in the final frame en route to a 7-3 win. Cole Davis led the offense with a four-point game, which included scoring his first two career junior hockey goals. Andrew Kotevski, Lee Knight, and Drew Booker all had three-point outings, while defenseman Brady Hamlin potted two power-play goals. Goaltender Tyler Bouck made 16 stops to pick up his first win in a Vipers uniform.
Now with a record of 3-2 on the season, the Vipers will return to Western Conference play on Wednesday when they host the Sarnia Legionnaires.
