Vipers Take Down Kings, Push Streak To Three

Despite missing several regulars in the lineup, the LaSalle Vipers won their third consecutive game by defeating the Komoka Kings 4-0 on Wednesday night in LaSalle.

Noah Morneau’s first period goal was followed by Ethan Hamelin’s single tally, and then two straight markers from Lee Knight in the second to provide more than enough cushion for the home side who outshot the visitors 50-24. Kyle Downey earned his third win in as many starts in the LaSalle crease and notched his first shutout as a Viper in the process. Knight’s two goals were the first of his junior career.

The Vipers were slated to play in Sarnia on Thursday night but the game was postponed due to inclement weather. Having won three straight games and amassing a record of 4-1 since returning to play in February, the Vipers next action comes on Wednesday, February 23 when they will host the St. Marys Lincolns.
