The LaSalle Vipers welcome the St. Marys Lincolns to the Vollmer Recreation Complex tonight for a key game in the standings.
Coming into tonight’s contest (scheduled for a 7:00 PM start), the Vipers (19-13-15) find themselves in fourth-place in the GOJHL’s Western Conference and trail the Lincolns (22-10-3-4) by seven points for third.
The three previous meetings between the two teams have been very evenly matched with all three being decided by one goal. St. Marys won both of their home games in overtime, while the Vipers took a 3-2 decision on October 23 in LaSalle.
With a game in hand and three games remaining against the Lincolns, there is plenty of opportunity for the Vipers to control their own destiny as they battle for important positioning in the standings down the stretch.
