Vipers Quick Start and Shutout Performance Leads to 3-0 Win Over Kilty B’s

On Saturday night, the Viper headed to Hamilton to face the Kilty B’s for the first time in at least 5 seasons. Jake Windbiel’s first GOJHL shutout was key to this victory as he turned away all 28 shot attempts. The Vipers started off strong with two goals within the first 6 minutes of the game which ultimately sent them home with a 3-0 win

On the first shot of the game at only 22 seconds, Joe Gingras scored his 3rd goal of the season. Eventually this goal would be ruled the game winner. 5 minutes later, Kyle Greene scored his 3rd of the season as well. We saw 3 penalties called throughout the first. Two to Hamilton and one to Lasalle.

Kyle Greene saw the penalty box twice in the second period at 7:09 and 19:57. Hamilton received a roughing penalty in between at 14:56. Shots on net this period were 11-9 in favour of the Vipers.

In the final minutes, Hamilton pulled their goalie at 17:32 in attempt to make a comeback but was overall unsuccessful. Adriano Tonin found the empty net at 18:57, sealing the game 3-0.
