The Vipers spent another weekend on the road, this time in Strathroy and Chatham.
On Saturday night, LaSalle started the weekend away in Strathroy to face off against the Rockets.
Strathroy jumped ahead early with two shorthanded goals in the first period.
Connor Chartrand got LaSalle on the board at 10:26, cutting into the lead but, the Rockets responded quickly with another goal at 12:08. Late in the period, while Grady Spicer was serving a minor penalty, Strathroy added their fourth goal.
The Rockets sealed the win with one final goal at 16:06 of the third.
Sunday night’s matchup in Chatham was a hard-fought battle between two physical teams.
Adriano Tonin opened the scoring for LaSalle at 9:31 of the first period.
Chatham answered on the power play early in the second and took the lead shortly after at 9:26. A fight at 12:28 fired things up, and Tonin responded with his second goal of the night, this time on the power play at 14:00. Shortly after, another fight followed and Chatham regained control with two quick goals late in the frame.
The third period featured multiple roughing minors on both sides. Chatham scored their fifth goal on the power play at 15:09, before Tonin completed his hat trick at 18:31. The Maroons closed out the scoring with an empty net goal.
The Vipers will be back home on Wednesday night when they host the Stratford Warriors.
