Vipers Fall One Goal Short to the St. Mary’s Lincolns

The Lasalle Vipers visited the Pyramid Recreation Centre in St. Mary’s for the first time this season. In a fast and skilled game, the Vipers were unable to come back from their 1-0 lead, losing their first game of the season.

Dante Bertolin stood on his head all game but especially in the first period stopping all 16 shots from the Lincolns. Three penalties were given out in the first: 1 to the Lincolns and 2 to the Vipers. The first ended before either team could find the back of the net.

The second period began just as fast as the first did. The Vipers were awarded two powerplays and during the second powerplay, Jaksen Ward scored. This was Ward’s first of the season. Assists being credited to Zach Vailliancourt and Noah Caswell; both their 3rd assists of the season. Shots on goal by the end were 8-7 Lasalle

The Lincolns scored their first of the game at 10:43 and only two minutes later they would go up 2-1 on the powerplay. The contest ended and the Vipers were unable to pull back ahead. Final score 2-1.
