The Lasalle Vipers returned to Stratford on Friday night for Game 3, looking to secure their first win of the series. However, the Warriors lead early, and the Vipers were unable to catch up.
Stratford opened the scoring just 32 seconds into the game. The Vipers ran into penalty troubles midway through the first period as Kieran McNally and Jaksen Ward were both sent to the box at 13:01 and 13:25, respectively. The Warriors scored on the man advantage extending their lead to 2-0. Just as McNally stepped out of the box Stratford scored again on the same power play making it 3-0.
Both teams received two penalties during the second. The Warriors were called for cross checking and interference at 5:39 and 18:59. Brody Jones received a 4-minute penalty at 13:03 and Bryce Belleau received a 10-minute misconduct at 14:59
Nick Graniero was called for interference to open the third, leading to another Stratford goal that pushed the score to 4-0. Despite some strong efforts, the Vipers were unable to get one past the Warriors.
With this loss the Vipers now trail 3-0 in the series. The must win matchup is set for Sunday March 23rd at the Vollmer.
