The LaSalle Vipers have signed forward Jake Eaton and goaltender Kyle Metson for the 2020-2021 season. After announcing the signings of Alex Park and Patrick McManus on Monday, the team has now added four 2003 born players to the upcoming season’s roster.
The 17-year-old Eaton played alongside Park and McManus this past season with the Windsor Jr. Spitfires Midget AAA team and is a versatile forward who can line up as both a center or a winger. The Kingsville native has played in the Sun County and Windsor AAA systems and was an Alliance Minor Midget AAA All-Star selection in 2018-2019.
Metson was one of the few 16-year-olds in the area who made the jump to junior hockey where he enjoyed a stellar rookie season with the Jr. C Wheatley Sharks in the PJHL. The Belle River native was one of just two 16-year-old starting netminders in the entire 64-team league, ranking fifth in the Stobbs Division in goal against average and sixth in save percentage. He played his minor hockey with the Sun County Panthers.
