The Vipers started the game off strong, with Tristan Kitchen’s scoring from the slot just two minutes into the contest. That was unfortunately the Vipers only lead of the game. Vipers forward Joseph Gingras cut the lead down to 4-2 on LaSalle’s first powerplay of the night, bringing some momentum back before Komoka’s Christopher Morgan scored an unassisted goal to finish off the second period at a score of 5-2.
The third period saw a goalie change for the Vipers, Cameron Ingram played the remainder of the game, saving all 7 shots he faced. LaSalle’s Matteo Vilardi opened the period with a goal just 21 seconds after the period commenced, but the two powerplay opportunities and 11 shots on net didn’t bring forth any more goals for the Vipers. the Kings capped off the game with an empty net goal from Brody Najim, seeing the Kings emerge victorious in a hard fought match, with a final score of 6-3.
