Pair Of Power-Play Goals Propel Vipers To First Victory

The LaSalle Vipers scored twice with the man-advantage, including the game-winning goal, in a 4-2 victory over the Komoka Kings on Wednesday night in LaSalle.

Owen Findlay’s power-play goal at 2:55 of the third period broke a 2-2 score and was the second of LaSalle’s two power-play goals in the game, with Captain Spencer Lecot notching the other.

Rookie forward Adriano Tonin opened the scoring in the first period with his first career goal and then picked up the insurance marker in the third to cap off a two-goal outing and secure the victory.

Tre Altiman stopped 22 of the 24 shots he faced to pick up his first career win in goal for the Vipers who outshot the visiting Kings 44-24 in the game. The Vipers have posted 40+ shots in each of their first two games to start the season.

Tonin (2G), Lecot (1G, 1A) and Connor Tucker (2A) were the multi-point scorers in the game for LaSalle who will take a 1-1 record into Sarnia next Thursday for their first road game of the season.
