The LaSalle Vipers announced that Spencer Lecot will be the team’s captain for the 2022-23 season.
The 20-year-old defenseman was selected as a Western Conference First-Team All-Star this past season and was a part of the team’s leadership group as an assistant captain. The Harrow native led the Western Conference in goals by a defenseman with 11 and ranked second in points with 33 in 46 games played.
Announced as next year’s captain at the team’s recent year-end Awards Banquet, Lecot had this to say about the honour. “Ever since I got traded here it has been the best thing that happened to me. I’ve loved every second of it, and I can’t wait to get things started next year and bring home a Sutherland Cup.”
