LASALLE, ON.
The LaSalle Vipers welcome Anthony Iaquinta as the clubs’ new head coach. Anthony has been the head coach of the Lakeshore Canadiens for the past 6 years. Under Iaquinta’s leadership, the Lakeshore Canadiens won 2 Ontario Schmalz Cup Championships.
Lakeshore Canadiens General Manager Mark Seguin spoke on Iaquinta moving forward.
“The Canadiens are proud to produce quality players and staff in order for them to move up in the ranks.” GM Mark Seguin said. “We thank Anthony and wish him continued success in the next step of his journey, this is a well-deserved appointment. We would also like to thank Milan for his effort and dedication over the past six years. The Canadiens will begin a thorough search for their next staff.”
Iaquinta spoke on coming to the Vipers.
“I am excited to start this new challenge with the LaSalle Vipers. It feels great to come back to where I grew up. My time with the Lakeshore Canadiens was unbelievable. I am thankful to Mark Seguin for taking a chance on me and for his unwavering support and mentorship.”
Vipers General Manager John Nelson spoke on the addition of Iaquinta.
“I am excited to work with Anthony. He’s an excellent person with a likeable personality.” GM John Nelson said. “Anthony and his staff will hold the players accountable, continue to create an excellent environment and more importantly he’s a stand up person with a great coaching resume.”
Anthony brings with him a new Vipers Assistant Coach, Milan Dobric. Together they have been coaching and leading the Lakeshore Canadiens successfully over the past 6 years. The rest of the coaching staff will be announced soon.
The LaSalle Vipers’ training Camp takes place this weekend on Friday, August 16th at 6pm and Saturday, August 17th at 2pm. The Blue vs White Game is Monday, August 19th at 7pm. Come on out to the Vollmer complex to check out this years’ Lasalle Vipers!
