Lasalle dominated play and ended up on the right side of the scoreboard after a scoring onslaught. It started early as Crevier scored just 50 seconds into the game giving the Vipers an early lead. Some back and forth play with teams trading shots. Later in the first the Vipers were on the powerplay when Vincent ripped a shot that was tipped by Ferguson into the goal. Vipers lead 2-0 going into the 2nd frame. 40 seconds into the 2nd period it was Crevier who tallied his second of the night taking the Vipers lead 3-0. Only one minute later Vincent scored making the vipers lead to 4. Teams traded more shots, hits and penalties. 12 minutes later Chatham scored to make it 4-1. A minute and 30 seconds later Hamlin scored to make the Vipers lead back to 4. Then the Vipers buried Chatham in the third period with 4 goals coming from Crevier who tallied his hat trick goal, Abouzeeni, Ferguson (2nd of the night) and Krzeminski. Shots were in favour of Lasalle 40-32.
Lasalle next game goes Saturday in Strathroy, puck drop at 7:30p, the Vipers next home game is at the Vollmer Complex Wed. Oct 9th when we faceoff against the Sarnia Legionnaires at 7pm!
