Back-to-Back Road Games A Test For Vipers

Having had a light schedule over the past couple weeks, the LaSalle Vipers are about to be reminded what it is like to be busier with games. After picking up their second straight win on Wednesday night, the team hits the road this weekend for two road games, beginning with a trip to Komoka to take on the Kings on Saturday night.

Despite their 8th place position in the standings, the Kings (14-21-1-5) have been a tough opponent for the Vipers (20-13-1-5) this season. With a tie, a win, and an overtime loss, the Kings lead the season-series having collected four points to the Vipers three. The two teams most recently met last week in an exciting game where the Vipers scored in the the dying seconds of regulation to save the game and then took the win in overtime.

A quick turnaround then sees the Vipers head to Chatham for a 2:30 afternoon game against the Maroons. LaSalle has dominated the season-series with the Maroons and have won all five games, but will be seeing a different opponent this time around as the Maroons have been playing good hockey as of late. Chatham (17-16-1-7) still has hopes of catching the Vipers for fourth-place in the Western Conference, while the Vipers are trying to fend off their push while trying to keep pace with the St. Marys Lincolns for third.
